All organizations are the same... The politics, the need to believe, the sketisim, the archetypes. And then they are NOT.
In November of 2018 I was invited to work with NASA on creating an "open innovation." We orchestrated a 90 person workshop. We enable the most senior NASA administrators to interview NASA persistent innovators "the field" directly working on cutting edge initiatives Together they mapped out the blockers and enablers. And the adminstrators developed "how might we statements" that they could use to challenge the organizations they lead.
But unlike other organizations these people work was magic - flying cars, terraforming mars, and the Juno space probe to Jupiter.
